Half an eye

I shall not reveal all of that I am,
Lest I be shamed for my play

I shall not spread my wings for all to see
Lest I be put in my place

I shall not bring forth my small successes
Lest I be reminded, how small they are

I shall not open my heart
Lest I be told that I should be someone else

I look within, because without, has failed me child
I show only that which I know
will be a clap on my back
because all else, is a rejection
of my tries, my failures, my lessons.

In the midnight garden of your soul,
You unfurl a tapestry of colors—
A dance of radiant indifference,
Unaware of the murmurs of approval or disapproval.

Each step is a fearless flutter,
A secret language of freedom whispered

And when you are the peacock of Krishna,
Embracing that divine spark
Let your feathers shimmer with celestial grace,
For your dance, unburdened by worldly opinion,
Is the very melody that enchants my heart.

So twirl, my vibrant spirit,
In a rhythm known only to your soul,
Where every step proclaims,
I dance, and I am loved
If not their lower self. If not my lower self.
I dance, and I am loved
